Tips for Crock Pot Cooking

Crock pot cooking is quick! If you have never tried it, this is the time to do it! Slow-cooking your food is so fun and easy! You come home to savory, delectable smells when you open your front door with the meal all ready to eat! Just toss a salad and you’re all set! DINNER!

Each of the five Hauser Diets differs in the amounts of protein, carbohydrates, and fat, so when planning your crock pot meal, keep your individual Hauser Diet in mind.

Remember:

Lions and Otters need meat and fat!
Bears need balance!
Monkeys and Giraffes need veggies and grains!

Tips for Crock Pot cooking:

1. Lions and Otters – try cooking things like pot roast, pork shoulder, whole chickens, and meaty chili recipes.

2. Bears – try mixed dish recipes that contain meats and veggies, such as chilis, stews, or soups, such as chicken chili, sweet and sour pork, or split pea soup.

3. Monkeys and Giraffes – try vegetable based dishes such as hearty vegetable soup, Thai veggie and chicken stew; or black bean Mexican dishes.
